Terms and Conditions Adventuretellers Home Ltd Handyman Subscription Service Effective Date: February 10, 2026 Last Updated: February 10, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Subscriber,” “you,” or “your”) and Adventuretellers Home Ltd, a Colorado limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), with principal place of business in Denver, Colorado.
By enrolling in, accessing, or using any subscription plan (including but not limited to the Bronze Mule Deer, Silver Elk, Gold Moose, and Platinum Bighorn Sheep plans), whether through the website, phone, text, email, or in-person, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy (linked separately), and all plan-specific information displayed on our website at the time of enrollment.
If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not subscribe or use the Services.
Automatic Renewal – Full Compliance with Colorado Law
1.1 Your subscription is an automatic renewal service contract governed by Colorado law, including C.R.S. § 6-1-732 and the Online Cancellation Act (SB25-145, as amended).
1.2 The subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price for your selected tier unless properly canceled in accordance with Section 5.
1.3 Renewal charges will be automatically billed to the payment method on file on or around the same calendar day each month.
1.4 Before enrollment, we provide clear and conspicuous disclosure (on the checkout page, confirmation email, and plan details) of:
That the subscription automatically renews monthly
The frequency and amount of recurring charges
How to cancel (via Squarespace account or by contacting us directly)
The 72-hour initial cancellation and full refund right (detailed in Section 5)
That cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (no prorated refunds for early cancellations or partial months unless required by law or the initial 72-hour period)
1.5 If you enrolled online, you may cancel using our one-step online cancellation mechanism through your Squarespace customer account dashboard (log in at squarespace.com, go to "Billing & Account" → "Subscriptions" or "Memberships", and select Cancel). We will process cancellation requests promptly and will not impose unreasonable obstacles, delays, or excessive verification requirements beyond standard identity confirmation.
1.6 You may also cancel at any time by contacting us directly via email (info@adventuretellershome.com) or phone (720-537-9955).
1.7 We may send renewal reminders 30–60 days in advance when required by law.
1.8 We reserve the right to change prices, perks, or terms with at least thirty (30) days’ notice via email or website posting. Continued subscription after notice constitutes acceptance.
Description of Services – Strictly Defined Scope
2.1 The Company provides general handyman services under the subscription plans limited exclusively to minor, non-structural, non-specialized residential maintenance and repairs. Examples include (but are not limited to):
Adjusting or repairing doors, cabinets, and hardware
Patching small drywall areas
Painting touch-ups
Assembling flat-pack furniture
Mounting lightweight items (TVs, shelves, mirrors)
Installing basic hardware and fixtures
Minor carpentry tweaks
Routine preventive checks and checklists
Light plumbing and electrical (non-permit, not requiring license). We subcontract out if it is needed! See section 2.3.
Fixing, replacing tile, grout, etc.
Baseboard fixing, touchups
Paint
2.2 Excluded Services (No Exceptions, No Work Performed under Subscription Plans):
Plumbing (anything that requires a plumbing specific license—mainly anything within walls)
Electrical (anything requiring an electrician license)
HVAC, gas lines, or ventilation systems besides trim/finish coverings, etc
Roofing repairs, major gutter replacement, or exterior structural work
Foundation, framing, load-bearing, or structural modifications
Any task requiring a building permit, licensed trade certification (i.e. electrical, plumbing), professional engineering/architectural review, or specialized equipment
Hazardous material handling (mold, asbestos, lead paint, biohazards)
Large-scale projects, full-room remodels, new installations of major systems or appliances (Note: We may offer these services separately outside the subscription plans.)
2.3 If a requested task falls outside the defined handyman scope, the Company may, at its sole discretion:
Decline the task entirely, or
Coordinate a licensed subcontractor and apply your included monthly labor hours (up to your plan limit) toward the subcontractor’s labor charge only.
You remain solely responsible for paying any subcontractor materials, specialized fees, permit costs, travel surcharges, or amounts exceeding your included hours/credit. Subcontractor work is subject to the subcontractor’s own warranty and licensing requirements..
2.4 Drone roof scans (when included in your tier) are strictly visual and informational (high-resolution photographs and basic written observations). They do not constitute a professional roof inspection, engineering report, warranty, guarantee, or recommendation. No liability is assumed for missed defects, future leaks, damage, or decisions made based on the scan.
2.5 Workmanship Warranty: We warrant that services performed directly by Adventuretellers Home Ltd will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of service. This warranty applies only to labor performed by our technicians and does not cover materials, manufacturer defects, normal wear and tear, homeowner misuse, modifications by others, or issues arising from pre-existing conditions.
Hours Banking, Materials Credits, and Usage Restrictions
2.6 “Same-Day” Response – Platinum Bighorn Sheep Tier Only For Platinum subscribers, we will make every reasonable effort to schedule and begin minor covered services on the same calendar day as your request (“same-day response”), subject to the following:
Requests must be received during our standard business hours (Monday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. MST, excluding major holidays). We will still try to accommodate requests even late at night, or in off hours!
Same-day scheduling depends on technician availability, travel time within the Monument/Castle Rock service area, existing confirmed appointments, and safe access to the property.
Requests received after 8:00 p.m. MST, on weekends, or on holidays will generally be scheduled for the next business day unless a technician is available.
While same-day response is our goal and priority for Platinum members, unforeseen circumstances (such as prior emergencies, traffic, weather, equipment issues, military obligations of employees or other scheduling conflicts) may delay arrival to the next available time.
2.7 Military Service Impact The owner of Adventuretellers Home Ltd is active-duty military (or Reserve/Guard). Deployment, TDY, drill, or other military obligations may occasionally affect availability or same-day response times. We will provide advance notice when possible and reschedule affected services promptly or issue prorated credits as appropriate. Military duties take precedence over scheduled civilian commitments.
We will communicate an estimated arrival window as quickly as possible after receiving the request. Same-day response does not guarantee immediate arrival, completion within a specific time frame, or service outside normal business hours. After-hours, weekend, or holiday emergency requests are not covered under the subscription and would require separate arrangement and payment.
3.1 Unused included labor hours roll over monthly into a personal bank according to your tier (maximums: 4 hours for Bronze Mule Deer, 8 hours for Silver Elk, 12 hours for Gold Moose, 20 hours for Platinum Bighorn Sheep).
3.2 Banked hours may only be used for approved minor handyman tasks and expire after twelve (12) months of inactivity or upon termination/cancellation of the subscription.
3.3 Materials credits (higher tiers only) are non-transferable, non-refundable, do not roll over, have no cash value, and apply only to approved consumables/hardware purchased specifically for your jobs. Unused credits forfeit at the end of each month.
3.4 The Company reserves the right to refuse or limit service requests that:
Exceed reasonable use of included hours
Appear designed to hoard or misuse banked time
Involve unsafe, unsanitary, inaccessible, or hazardous conditions
Violate these Terms or local laws
Payment Terms
4.1 You authorize recurring charges, applicable sales tax, and any overage fees.
4.2 No prorated refunds or credits will be issued for partial months, early cancellations, unused hours/credits, dissatisfaction, or non-use unless required by law or the 72-hour initial cancellation period described in Section 5.
4.3 If a renewal payment fails (after any reasonable retry attempts we may make), the subscription will be considered canceled effective at the end of the current paid billing period. We will notify you of the failed payment and resulting cancellation. No further services will be provided, and any outstanding balance (including overages) becomes immediately due in full.
4.4 Unpaid balances may be referred to a collection agency; you agree to pay all collection costs, reasonable attorney fees, court costs, and any other recovery expenses incurred by the Company.
Cancellation and Termination
5.1 Initial 72-Hour Cancellation and Full Refund Right You may cancel your subscription within 72 hours (3 calendar days) of your first purchase/initial enrollment and receive a full refund of the first month's subscription fee. To request this refund, contact us via email (info@adventuretellershome.com) or phone (720-537-9955) within the 72-hour window. This right applies only to the initial signup and does not extend to renewals, upgrades, or subsequent months. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
5.2 After the initial 72-hour period, you may cancel your subscription at any time through one of the following methods:
Via your Squarespace customer account — Log in to the account you used to subscribe (or create one if needed) at squarespace.com, go to "Billing & Account" → "Subscriptions" or "Memberships", find your Adventuretellers Home Ltd plan, and click "Cancel Subscription." This is the one-step online cancellation mechanism for online enrollments.
By contacting us directly — Email info@adventuretellershome.com or call 720-537-9955. We will process your request promptly (typically within 1–2 business days) and confirm via email.
Cancellation is effective at the end of the current paid billing period. There are no prorated refunds for early cancellations or partial months unless required by law or the initial 72-hour period described above.
5.3 The Company may immediately suspend or terminate your subscription without refund or notice for:
Failed payment (treated as cancellation per Section 4.3)
Repeated cancellation/re-subscription patterns to exploit discounts or promotions
Abusive, threatening, harassing, or disrespectful behavior toward Company staff
Providing unsafe, inaccessible, or false information
Material breach of these Terms
Safety, liability, or insurance concerns
5.4 Upon termination or cancellation: all unused banked hours and materials credits forfeit immediately; any outstanding balance becomes due in full.
Limitation of Liability – Maximum Protection
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company, its owners, officers, contractors, subcontractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or reliance damages
Loss of use, data, profits, goodwill, business interruption, or opportunity
Property damage, personal injury, illness, or death (except for proven gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Company’s direct employee)
Any damages arising from hidden defects, pre-existing conditions, or third-party actions
6.2 Total aggregate liability under any theory (contract, tort, strict liability, etc.) shall not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
6.3 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from or related to:
Hidden defects, hazards, dangerous conditions, or structural issues on your property
Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by you
Actions, omissions, or workmanship of any subcontractor we coordinate
Your pets, occupants, guests, or third parties interfering with or present during service
Your failure to follow safety instructions, provide access, or disclose relevant conditions
Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any delay, failure to perform, or reduced service quality due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) severe weather, natural disasters, illness or unavailability of personnel, supply chain disruptions, strikes, pandemics/epidemics, government orders/restrictions, utility outages, or acts of God.
Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Class Action Waiver
8.1 These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
8.2 Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, or the relationship between the parties shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado, or (at the Company’s sole election) through binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association in Denver, Colorado.
8.3 You expressly waive any right to participate in a class action, private attorney general action, consolidated proceeding, or any other representative or multi-party proceeding.
Miscellaneous Provisions
9.1 Entire Agreement — These Terms (together with the plan details displayed on the website at the time of enrollment) constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company.
9.2 Severability — If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
9.3 Assignment — You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your subscription or rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
9.4 Changes to Terms — We may modify these Terms at any time; continued use of the Services after notice (via email or website posting) constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9.5 No Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
